Tonga is a off the beaten track, but a beautiful destination: See my pics!

Here is a link to high resolution pictures from my recent trip to Tonga. Tonga is a beautiful vacation destination that is far less touristy than other South Pacific destinations.

Work or pleasure, Adam?

Definitely pleasure, I took a month vacation and visited Tonga, Samoa, New Zealand, and Australia. I flew with Air New Zealand and got a great deal on the multiple stop airline ticket.

Lovely pics, Adam. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us.

Could you tell me about the big stone arch, please? Looks very interesting and I'm sure you will know.

Best,
Bokhara

It is a 12 ton limestone trilithon (arch) built in the 13th century. It more than likely was built as an entryway into the King's royal compound. It's located on Tongatapu, the main island.

Great shots, Adam!
We visited Tonga recently and loved it too... the blowholes on Togatapu were breathtaking, and exploring the island on our own jeep was such an authentic adventure.Check out our blog if you're looking for more inspiration and tips:
