Being a fond of Marlborough Sounds and Queen Charlotte Track, you'll be happy to read today's report that DOC is eliminating invasive wasps there. Maybe they're not such a problem in shoulder season?

I'm all for wiping out wasps, although I don't remember any issues with them in the sounds. Yet another perk to off season visits?
