The Kimberley - Outback Spectcular
It's remote, therefore difficult, time consuming and expensive to get to.
There is a payoff though, amazing scenery, and a true understanding of just how big our country is. The area is one of our favourite destinations, and we have so many special memories from two trips (so far). I wanted to share some of my impressions of the region with the forum, and wanted to include some photos. Rats, it's a while since I used Flickr, my account is locked, now where did I put that password ? So, impatient individual that I am, I turned to Wordpress. In my usual "bull at the gate" fashion, I've put this together with very little understanding of how the site works. I don't like the font, or the background colour, but this computer dummy doesn't know how to change them (yet). Here goes, while I cross my fingers that the link works. http://sartoric.wordpress.com/2014/0...ck-spectacular |
Okay, the finger crossing didn't work, neither does the link.
Anyone know how to use Wordpress ? |
Hi Sartoric
It works - just have to click on the green icon. If you can, would you delete my comment please? I misread the instructions. Thanks for a great read. |
i hope you can get a working link up soon. the kimberley is high on my list for my next (2nd) trip to australia
thx AndrewDavid |
AndrewDavid - the link does work.
Just click on the round green icon with "sartoric" on it at the top of the page |
Thanks for sharing, Sartoric. Your photos are fabulous. I have the Bungle Bungle range on my list of places to visit the next time I'm back in Australia. And the Cable Beach sunsets and camel rides sound magical.

hey sartoric w/ some help from bokhara2 i was able to open your fine report. hope to see the kimberley in the next few years
cheers AndrewDavid |
HI, sartoric. I enjoyed your trip report, thanks. It's another part of Oz that we talk about visiting. Maybe when we are visiting Perth we will fly up there for a few days.
BTW, why not watch the meteorite movie and sequel?? |
Thanks to all, sorry about my technology ineptitude. Thanks to Bokhara for the workaround.
AndrewDavid, thanks, it is a fantastic place. TP, no doubt you will plan an excellent adventure. I'm enjoying Peru with you at the moment ! Dottyp, the movie Wolf Creek is about a serial killer who picks up travellers (mainly backpackers) then does some pretty horrible things to them. You do get to see the meteorite site, but IMO, not worth the blood and gore. |
Sounds gross, sartoric. Definitely not my style. Thanks for the heads-up aka thumbs down.
