The Grace or Furama Hotel in Sydney?
We are planning to stay one night at the Renaissance Hotel on the way to Noosa Heads because it looks wonderful and has an unbeleivable special on right now.

However, on our way back we would like to spend a night in the Darling Harbour area.

The Grace comes highly recommended and also has an incredibly low special rate at this time (A$190) but the Furama which has a slighty lower rate appears to be closer to Darling Harbour and its attractions.

Suggestions?
Al,

Hope you don't mind if I ask you a question. We are going to Sydney in October and I noticed your comment about the Renaissance "unbelievable special". We are in Texas ~ do you have e-mail or web site for them? Otherwise, do you have fax number.

What rate are they quoting?

Thanks!

I would suggest either the novotel or the Ibis at darling harbour. They usually have competitive packages and are right in the middle of darling harbour and just a short stroll to the city centre and cockle bay

Renaissance Sydney Hotel's URL is

http://www.renaissancehotels.com/dpp...rshaCode=SYDRN

If this doesn't work pop "Renaissance Hotel, Sydney" into the 'Google' search engine.

Rate: Double Special A$195. With Breakfast Buffet for two A$220.

We try to keep our hotel costs down to about $100 CAD/night but we will be travelling from Vancouver Canada (about 15 hours in the air.) So for $50 CAD more we thought we'd treat ourselves. And $10 Canadian each for a buffet breakfast is extremely reasonable.

We also plan to take the shuttle bus in from the airport and save some money there.

You snooze: you lose.

The Special rate just went up at the Grace and I missed it.
