Thai Airways
Has anyone had experience with this airline? Am considering them for flight between LA and Thailand. Thanks.

Hi! I have flown Thai several times in all 3 classes. They are a reliable and safe airline. The service is good as with most large Asian carriers. Their fleet is also quite new. Check out their home page at www.thaiair.com for more info. Thai is one of my preferred carriers. Hope this helps.

Here's a tip about Thai Airways. The food on the LA-Bangkok leg is GREAT (LA has hundreds of great Thai restaurants who cater to the airline). We ate like kings in coach. The flight from Bangkok to LA, however, included a stop for fuel in Seoul, Korea. Fuel wasn't the only thing that the plane loaded up with. The food on the long flight back to LA was "catered" by Koreans. Wonderful people, but their food leaves a lot to be desired. We had a total of 6 meals and are still laughing about it. Most of it was inedible, and what was edible was awful. My word of advice: Before you board the plane back to LA, stock your carry on with some packaged snacks (nuts, candy, etc.) so you don't starve to death. . . .

Thai International is our favorite in SEA. Always great service and on time.

I'm not sure which list it was, but one of the popular "Best" lists, listed Thai Airways as the number 5 airline in the world. On almost any "best" list you see, Thai consistently ranks in the top ten of the the worlds best airlines. I have flown on Thai from LAX to BKK and it is very good.

Thai Air is my favorite airline in the world. Safe, comfortable, stewardesses in lovely silk dresses, and fabulous food, no matter how short the flight.

Just flew L.A. to Bangkok on Thai. Great, friendly service. Good food. I'd do it again tomorrow. Enjoy!
