Tahiti,Moorea,and Bora Bora-Just Returned April 1st
Hi I just returned from 1 night Sheraton Tahiti
3 nights Sheraton Moorea Horizon OW
and 4 nights Le Meridien Bora Bora OW
The Sheraton TAhiti was a nice place to stay with Le Truck right outside the door to take you to Papeete. The Market in Papeete is great for very tasty, sweet fruit and beautiful bunches of tropical flowers for real cheap. We did not speak french but everyone was so nice and patient we had no trouble communicating with them. We took the Ferry to Moorea.
The Sheraton Moorea Lagoon Resort was
beautiful! All done and worth every penny we spent for the Horizon OW #75.Huge Bungalows! All new. The Sheraton had great food and nice staff. The pool was big too! Lot's of fish off the overwater's for snorkeling! I would not hesitate to stay at the Sheraton again.I briefly visited the Beachcomber Parkroyal (Spring Break at the check in area)
And the Sofitel. Very busy! I would choose the Sofitel over Beachcomber because of construction going on at Beachcomber and too many people! The
Sheraton Lagoon REsort was the best
place to stay for us.
Our next (and last) stop was Bora Bora. My advice: Just go! It's more
gorgeous than you can imagine! Our OW
Bungalow at Le Meridien Bora Bora was nice and we were in room #325 with Mt
Otemanu directly in front of our Deck!!!!! What a beautiful resort! Great Service and food.Everyone bends over backwards to make you happy and management throws in some nice welcome gifts to top it all off!
Summary: Absolutely LOVED it at all
three resorts.

Hi Dave, Wow. Your so lucky! The Sofitel in Moorea is beautiful! The grounds are soooooo pretty! I just saw the OW Bungalows. They looked great! I did not see the Beach Bungalows.I'm sure you will love it there! As for the Sofitel Motu on Bora Bora, Sorry I can't make a comment personally but I did read many reviews about it.Everybody RAVES about the Sofitel Motu! Not one bad one in the bunch! I have no doubt you will be VERY pleased with your hotel selections! Can I go?
(just kidding) As far as food goes,if you stay at the hotel it can get very pricey. About $100 per person per day.
Try some of the Restaurants on the island. I heard they are somewhat reasonable for French Polynesia. We brought a small suitcase of stuff to eat and also 3 bottles of wine and 6 bottles of Beer. It saved us a bundle
in food costs. You can use the mini-
bar fridge at the resort. Just remove
their stuff and put yours in. They don't mind at all.Get to some of the small grocery stores on the islands and you'll find VERY reasonable prices! We bought bread, cheese, fruit, cold meats, and croissants. It went great with our wine. Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip,Debbie

Hi Debbie,
we are planning to travel to Tahiti next september.
We're still checking a lot of different information, as hotel, best islands, etc.
We are using pacific for less site www.pacific-for-less.com and I'd like to know if their prices are really good....
Another question: did you make the transfer reservations? Should we do that or it's easy to get a transfer over there for a better price? (just for reference the prices are around U$49 per person each way).
I appreciate if you can help us.
Thanks,
Adriana

Adriana,
I used Pacific-for-less (Claudia) for our Cook Islands trip end of this month & yes they have great prices & I have been pleased with the prompt service & follow-thru. I'd recommend them. Have a great trip!

Also booked with Claudia at pacific-for-less for our Fiji honeymoon. She was VERY helpful, and her price was $200-$300 lower than the 4 other quotes I got for our vacation package.

Tracy
