I did the Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb and it's amazing ~!

The climb starts on the right side (Opera House side) of the bridge and return to the BridgeClimb Center (based on the BridgeClimb centre near the Circular Quay) on the left side (darlind harbor side) after crossing the bridge at the summit. Therefore, tourists do not exactly cross the bridge, but instead returning to starting point after the climb.

Afterthoughts:

1. BridgeClimb provides all the gears and outfits for the climb; sun-glasses are “must” on any day (especially the sunny day), and I suppose it is almost the only thing that you could carry with you to the bridge climb. The company provides their own handkerchiefs, sun glasses stripes, caps, fleece jacket, safety belt, earphones – which all would be clipped to your jumpsuit, no toilet when you are in the climb.

2. I am a little scared with heights but in fact, the BridgeClimb is nothing like any dangerous activities. The Arch is not steep and it’s wide and covered.It is really an enjoyable activity for anybody.

3. Absolutely no photo-taking by yourself. Well, the company made it very clear that no phones, no camera while we were on the bridge. During the climb, the tour guide would be happy to help you take photos at “photo-taking” spots and make sure you are happy with it. My package includes 10 photos, which includes a short video of us standing on the top of the bridge, waving hello, leaving a message and then the camera slow move away to the surrounding view.

4. Lastly, some time slots are marked up for climbers to see the sunset. We didn't, I went there in September and we went up @ 3pm during the day. We had a full spectacular view of the opera house, and went back down at around 6pm, just in time to see the romantic sunset on the other side of the bridge as we walk down. Fantastic!

The Bridge Climb is fantastic - although I'm not sure my elderly knees would love it quite so much now.

I went with my aunt who was then in her eighties, and was blown away - and I've pretty much lived here all my life (so far)!

yes, the tour guide was funny and knowlegable as well~
But yes, we needed to climb some stairs to go up and down the arch. The guide gave us a mini-training to climb the stairs before departure :P
