Sydney MyMulti Pass
I'd just like to clarify a few things on the MyMulti passes. We will be there a week, and plan to use ferries. So as I read, we'll need the MyMulti 2. I just want to be sure that it will be good for the Manly ferry and the Blue Mountains train?
Also, if I understand correctly it will NOT be good for the airport train into town. I've read that you can take the Bus 400 to an off-airport stop, then catch the train using the MyMulti pass. How much of a hassle is this? I'm all for saving money, but if it's a huge extra hassle, the $16 for the direct train ticket may be worth it. We will take the train to Central station, then we have about a 10-12 minute walk to our hotel. We'll probably do that, but if we should decide to get a taxi, any speculation about how much it might be? We're on 6 Campbell street, less than a mile away. Thanks so much! |
With two people, it would possibly cheaper to take a taxi directly to your hotel and much easier with luggage to carry.

For the Blue Mountains train and the Manly ferry, you actually need the MyMulti 3. You can also pay those separately.

Hi jarand
Using www.taxifarefinder.com the fare is calculated at around $AU37 to get you from the airport to Campbell Street, Surry Hills. At that price, I certainly wouldn't bother with the airport train! Di |
If you are planning an overnight stay in the Blue Mountains, consider putting it at the end of the trip. On your day of departure you can have a seamless trip by train from the Blue Mountains to the airport, with just one change. Yes, you will have to pay the 'station access fee' but the trains are fast, reliable, and frequent, so takes a lot of worry out of getting to your flight on time.

I forgot to mention that there is no elevator at Central from the platform that the train from the International Airport arrives at.
This means you need to be able to carry your luggage up or down (depending if you are leaving from or arriving at) this platform to the main concourse level. |
Thank you. The taxi is looking better all the time!
