Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

I am a 21 year old student studying abroad in Australia and wanted to know the best city to live in for 4 months?

Without a doubt - Sydney. It has it all for anyone of any age.

My vote is Sydney. You can travel anywhere from there and it's a terrific city.

Sydney is in my view the best city to visit, and I'd lean heavily that way. But I know folks who have studied in Melbourne, where the university atmosphere is supposedly very cool, and they have absolutely loved it. You probably can't go wrong.

Archie, where are you coming from and when will you be here? What sort of things do you prefer to do and what sort of weather would you like to experience?

You've probably read a lot of posts already about the weather differences.

Remember Sydney is the largest city on a beautiful harbour and more central for travelling to both of the other cities while you are here.

Then again, you may prefer the quieter, slower pace and more tropical lifestyle of Brisbane or the culture of our cooler neigbour. You decide.
