Sydney hotel for honeymoon

We can use cc points to get a room at the Sir Stamford, Intercontinental, Quay West, Four Seasons, Hilton or Marriott Sydney Harbor. The posts about hotels in Sydney are a bit old at this point. Has anyone stayed at any of these recently? We would love any tips to help us make the decision.

I'm a local so don't normally stay at hotels but the only one of those hotels that I know at all is the Intercontinental - I went to a wedding there and have eaten there several times. A lovely hotel that does food and functions well, in a historic building, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there based on prior experiences and reputation. I'll also mention the Westin at Martin Place and the Shangri-La in the Rocks as nice hotels that I know a little (friends having stayed there) but I see you are somewhat limited by points. The Hilton was renovated completely not that long ago so it would be pretty good right now too. Intercontinental is near the Opera House, Shangri-La at the edge of the tourist area, Westin and Hilton more towards or in the shopping district.

We stayed at the Marriott about 18 months ago and it was wonderful. We plan to return in December. The location is fantastic. Congratulations!!!

Located in a historic 19th-century building, the 5-star InterContinental Hotel overlooks the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge.

Love the intercontinental. Their lobby where you can get a drink and listen to music is beautiful. I highly recommend it. I always joke if it is good enough for George Bush and his entourage then it is good enough for Miss Green!

I stayed at the Sir Stamford Circular Quay in December. It was lovely and the service great. It is old english charming :) The room is huge and with a large beautiful bathroom. It is a bit more low key than say the Intercontinental. The location is very good I thought. The Opera House and Circular Quay definitely walkable and across the street from the Botanical Gardens (park)

"On your vacations, it's always advisable to have someone who can assist you with your travel arrangements. If you have an android phone, you can try downloading the travel club app mytravelsos. It says you have a personal assistant and not only that, you'll also have a full legal/medical coverage while on vacation. Why should I be paying a monthly fee if it only covers a couple of weeks of vacation for me? Personal Assistant on the go? How cool is that?"

How cool is that? About as cool as you posting the same thing in three different forums. Please take your spam somewhere else.

We stayed at theFour Seasons in Sydney and highly recommend it. Our room had fantastic views of the harbor and Opera House, the service and staff were impeccable and the location perfect.
