Everytime I walk by the construction site I marvel at what a phenomenal location they have. It truly has to be one of the best situated youth hostels in the world.

On top of that amazing view it's just steps away from a couple of my favorite pubs as well!! (The Australian and the Glenmore) :)

Talk of the Australian, I first stayed there by accident quite a few years ago and I reckon it would have to be about best value in Sydney - it was $60/dbl then but even now at $135, if it was for two, I'd certainly fork out an extra $50 for one of their glorious rooms with similar views from the loo at end of hallway and rooftop dining as well - http://www.australianheritagehotel.com/accom.html

The Sydney Harbour YHA has started taking bookings from what I read today. It looks amazing!
