Mina

Margo's birthday celebrations:

Saturday 9th: Seans for lunch.

Sunday 10th: Big lunch with friends at home- you're invited to a regular Aussie "Tom Cruise" = roast lamb dinner with all trimmings.

17th: (actual birthday) Lunch at Sanders, Cabarita, as expensive as Seans, and not as good, but my elderly aunt prefers it.

21st: Into hospital :( - and that's me quiet for a bit!

Margo, where is Sanders, Cabarita?

Wow, you have lots of celebrations planned! Do you normally whoop it up like this for your bday, or is this a "special" bday this year (if you don't mind me asking).

I'm up late checking out a diversity lottery forum. If I don't suffer a nervous breakdown before the week of April 18th, I will be in a bar somewhere near the consulate when this is over, pretty well drunk! (or "pissed!")

Hopefully pissed as a fart, or maybe a parrot, crazymina.

not a big birthday - but a bit spread out - I'd rather have a couple of smaller celebrations, that a party - more fun! Bit of anxiety before hospital, too!

I will second Guykb suggestion for considering a southern highland trip. I went yesterday for the Scottish Highland festival and it was really very nice scenery on the journey. Have not been for so long. It was greener than I have seen anywhere in Australia in recent times and there was some autumn cololurs.

Some of the towns looked really pretty like Moss Vale. We left late so our trip dowm the escarpment to the coast was done in darkness and mist but you could see how beautiful the view would be in daylight.

We took a special train service for the day. I am not sure it is common railway route so a car would be best.
