Sydney cruise terminal to airport

Hello: Does anyone know how far it is from the cruise terminal which I think is at Darling Harbor or thereabouts to the airport and any idea about what a can would cost?

Thank you!

Two cruise terminals in Sydney - one at Circular Quay and one at White Bay. I'm guessing a taxi would be about $30-$40. Last time we used the cruise company's coach travel to the airport - I think we paid $15 each.

Hi jacketwatch

You can check your ship's arrival berth on this schedule

https://www.portauthoritynsw.com.au/...uise-schedule/

WB = White Bay
OPT = Overseas Passenger Terminal - Circular Quay

Awesome website. Thank you!

The Ovation leaves from OPT..

There's a train from circular quay to the airport....

jacketwatch Apr 4th, 2017 12:53 AM

Thanks but not interested in a train.

sartoric Apr 4th, 2017 02:02 AM

Well, it is a kind of can

You could play around with this to get a rough estimate of the taxi cost

https://www.taxifare.com.au/

Naturally, the end cost will depend on traffic on your trip, but at least this gives you an idea. It's about 17kms.

Tios are neither required, nor expected - but if you have a mountain of luggage * & the cabbie handles it all for you, I'm sure he would appreciate a little something, if you felt so inclined. If not, a simple Thank You is enough.

* someone I know cruises a lot & takes the " more is never enough" approach to her packing for the trip.

Thank you. My TA can get a shuttle for two for $36.00 one way. It seems the taxi fare is close to that.

As time goes by we tend to pack less and less. Well at least I do. My better half on the other hand....... :D.

I don't know why she needs like 8 pairs of shoes for two weeks away but I have learned not to question it. Just say "yes dear." :S-.

Bokhara2 Apr 4th, 2017 01:07 PM

Oh well ... shoes - that's a different thing altogether! Suitcase room, like $, has a completely different value for shoes, than for any other commodity ;).

Would you like a list of Sydney's best women's shoe shops? There will probably be some sales on while you're here - and if not, what great souvenirs :)

jacketwatch Apr 4th, 2017 01:17 PM

Sure why not. :). She always likes to get shoes when we are on vacation.

OTOH I like to get a watch or a jacket when I am away as a souvenir, hence my user name. I collect them. :S-.

The AUD36 is a good price - it costs almost that much for two to take the stupid train due to Sydney's dumb policies (huge surcharges for embarking or departing the CityRail at either airport station).

jacketwatch Apr 5th, 2017 05:17 PM

Russ it's $36.00 USD. Still seems ok though. I don't know what cabs are there however.

BigRuss Apr 6th, 2017 11:23 AM

$36 isn't bad. That's about 48 Aussie and it runs nearly 60 Aussie to get from the airport to Sydney's CBD (which is directly south of Circular Quay).

jacketwatch Apr 6th, 2017 12:32 PM

Thanks. That's what I was looking for.

Jacketwatch - here is the taxi pricing estimator link I gave in post 6.
