Sydney Bridge Climb - how difficult

I'm female, 71, in good health, no longer a high school athlete but still fairly fit. How difficult is it? I've been challenged. If a 100-year old woman can do it I feel I should be able to do it.

I should have searched for information on this subject before posting this note, since there was some interesting information.

I'd still be interested in hearing about how others found the climb.

Hi Michi,
The climb is not nearly as difficult as it looks. There is no rush and you get to go at whatever pace is ok for you.
I think as long as your comfortable walking then you should be ok.
The guides are great and won't push you along.Just don't turn up after having a drink, you get breatherlised.
Safety is a no 1 priority.
You could always come along on the 29th Dec, walk behind me, I am pretty slow too (or so my kids tell me)
Good luck ..do it and enjoy.
We only live once

Michi

Don't walk behind Mucky! That's all I'm saying! :p

My almost 80 year old aunt did it without problems. It may look scary - but it's fine really!

Have a great time!

Oh Margo !!!
What are you saying ??
Michi, Take no notice of Margo she can be so cruel to me at times, it really hurts you know...lol
She's just trying to get out of buying me a drink in oz.
Have fun

You can definitely do it and it's heaps of fun! It's not scary unless you are afraid of heights. The picture you take at the top and the awesome views of Sydney are well worth it. Have a great time!

Well, my new wife and I just climbed it on our honeymoon about a week ago. I would recommend going last in line so you don't feel rushed and go at your own pace. That's what my wife did and she took it slower and stopped to look around. It was really a neat experience. Have a great time!
