Sydney Bridge Climb

Is there a preferable day and/or time for the climb? We are going in early Nov. Hoping someone can help me on this one. Thanks in advance.

If you are a morning person, I would recommend the sunrise Bridge Climb. The air should be clearer then.

Sunset is great, too. Be aware that they do check your alcohol level.

Anytime is great as long as it isn't foggy or raining.

The climb is time consuming. If you do it in the early morning, you will have time in the afternoon to do something else. At noon, it may mess up the morning and afternoon. Most of the time spent on this tour is not just climbing the bridge.

I'd recommend early-ish or lare-ish. Those suits must be hot, up there in the middle of the day - and it may be hot in November.

One good time is the last trip of the afternoon, bewfore the night-time rate cuts in.

We went late afternoon and it was fantastic! (and I live here)

Is it recommended to book this in advance? Ill be in Syd from 21-23 Nov, and this is the one thing I absolutely want to do. I know that there are no refunds once booked- they do the climb in light rain is what I'm told.
I'd like to see weather conditions once I'm there and if it shapes up to be a nice day, book it then.
How fast does it fill up?

Since you are only in town for a short time, I would book in advance. Also, Christmas to New Years is as very busy time. Book ahead.

I really think that for the first climb, it doesn't matter what time you go. You will be blown away by the experience anyway.
You should book in advance though.
Also make sure there is no alcohol on your breath or they won't let you climb.

Good Luck

You don't need to book in advance.
they just run extra climbs if demand is high.
Check the weather forecast for the few days you are in sydney,go to the office and check out their stuff, and walk up to the pylon and see what they do.then make a decision on when you want to climb.(and whether you want to climb)

Thank you all! I am looking forward to this!!

I suspect johhj_au is technically correct, however I still think booking is a better idea, especially if you want a certain slot at a busy holiday time.
It would be a shame to just turn up and waste time waiting for a space.

Good Luck

You don't need to book ahead. Book it based on the weather. If you were going to be there over Xmas I'd say book ahead. You will have to figure out when the sunset is in Nov and then count 3 hours back if you want a fantastic sunset view with out paying the night price.
