Sydney Airport connecting flights

Hi everyone,
Need some suggestions for a connecting flight at Sydney Airport.
We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers) reaching Sydney from KL on Malaysia Airlines flight at around 11 AM ( December 16).
We want to catch a connecting flight to Hobart. We found options at 2 PM and then at 5:40 PM.
Wanted suggestions if 2 PM flight will be difficult to manage given its holiday season, need to change terminals etc.

Thanks

There is a shuttle bus service you can take beyeeen the International and Domestic Terminals. Trip takes about 10 minutes. If your inbound flight is on time 3:40 should be more than adequate to make your connection.

Hi Roamsaround,
Thanks for your reply. I was looking at the flight history, have seen it delayed at times by 45 to 60 mins.

If you are on the one ticket ie Malaysian and Qantas to Hobart then I wouldn't worry about it, just take a change of shirt / underwear in case your luggage doesn't make it with you, the airline will put you or your luggage on the next available flight to Hobart.

If you book Sydney to Hobart with virgin or tiger then I would be more worried as they are not in the same alliance as Malaysian
