Surfing in Sydney

My husband dreams of a surfing lesson in Sydney mid June. Is this something to even consider for him....winter waters...full on body suit....is he crazy or can I make his dream come true???!!!!

A wetsuit would be a good idea. Here's one possible surf school that caters from 8 to 80 year olds.

Where are you staying ? There is also a surf school at Bondi. I can get you the details if you will be anywhere in that part of Sydney. If you are in Sydney you will definitely need a wet suit in June .

We'll be staying in Darling Harbour. We'll have already been traveling 3 weeks in AUS and to Cairns, but my husband thinks that surfing in or around Sydney seems exciting! Any other suggestions are appreciated, thanks!!

Go for it!!

Sydney has around 40 beaches and some are better for beginner surfers than others.

For example Narabeen in the north is better for advanced surfing whereas Bondi and Manly surf schools are in the less demanding surf.

Enjoy

Your husband is a smart man! Surfing a Sydney beach will be a fun experience and a really good memory to take home.
