Southern Australia tour ideas, please

I've just booked my flights to Australia for late November this year. Since I'm a single traveler, I was thinking about taking the Wayward Bus tour for the Great Ocean Road and also want to do a 2-3 day tour of Kangaroo Island. Does anyone have experience with the Wayward bus company, or can you suggest other short tours for the GOR and KI?

Thanks much,
Martha

I have just found this site whilst looking for info on Provence/France but as a resident South Australian I couldn't resist offering local advice on the Aussie page! Info posted here has already been a great help to me.
I have not used Wayward Bus Tours but can highly recommend the GOR as I have driven it myself many times. Beautiful coastal scenery and quaint towns and weather should be lovely in late November. You probably wouldn't need any longer than two days for KI - have you planned any other activity from Adelaide? Lots of great winery regions and the beautiful Adelaide Hills suitable for a day trip, or a little further away - the spectacular Flinders ranges.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Thanks, ozgirl for your reply. I am in the early stages of my itinerary, but was looking at either 2 or 3 days on Kangaroo Island, not knowing if there was much else to do around Adelaide. I'm starting in Sydney, then flying to Melbourne, thinking about taking the Wayward Bus tour of the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, then going to Kangaroo Island, before heading back to the US.

Any other advice would be very welcome.

Thanks,
Martha

Hi Martha, strangely enough I've just seen an ad on TV about Wayward Buus Company! Are you interested in wineries at all, beacuse we do have a lot to offer in SA on that front. As I mentioned, the Adelaide Hills are also very pretty and within half an hour of Adelaide. Lots of little towns and pretty scenery. It would depend on whether you hired a car or wanted a tour.

Two days in KI is plenty IMO - there really isn't a lot there. Adelaide is a lovely city and it and the nearby hills and wine country are certainly worth another two days.
