This is just to thank those of you that have requested my 7 week trip report of both the North and South Island and have said that it is helpful to your planning. After 7 weeks of paradise the real world is certainly greeting us. In the last 36 hours we have had over 30 cm of snow and it's -l8 degrees outside. Good thing you never lose the art of shoveling. Thanks for your thoughts. The driving is terrible, take the worst dirt roads you can and cover them with ice and snow. How I envy everyone setting out on their trip. Really our trip was so awesome I don't think I'd give up anything for it. Weather looks good in NZ. Wendy
