Self drive itinerary for 5 weeks in england, scotland and Ireland
 

We are planning a trip next year to England, Scotland and Ireland for 5 weeks. There will be 4 adults travelling together and hope to hire a car for most of the trip. Any suggestions on an itinerary. We would like 1 week in Ireland and the rest of the time in England and Scotland. Give me some ideas!!!!

You will probably get much better responses if you outline the itinerary you are considering and then ask for comments, suggestions, ideas related to that itinerary, rather than expecting responders to do all your legwork for you. Without knowing your interests (art, culture, history, museums, countryside, sport, restaurants, sightseeing, cities etc. etc) it's a bit difficult for people to respond other than with the bog-standard "London, Bath, Stratford, York, Lake District, Edinburgh, Scottish Highlands etc." sort of suggestions.
