Seeking advice on best car rental deals in NZ
 

Hey All,

My wife and I are first timers to NZ, and planning for a 10 day stay across a few spots in South Island. We are flying into Christchurch and planning to head out to Lake Tekapo and southwards thereafter, and flying out from Queenstown.

Would you recommend any particular car rental provider for this scenario? All the ones I have checked are either 1) low rental but with a huge excess 2) more than double the rental fee as option 1 plus excess reduction package as additional.

We were hoping to understand if there are any providers that are outside the two categories.
