secluded Raro, no children please

Anybody have a recommendation for beachfront Rarotonga where my husband and I can get away from the family scene, but have more seclusion/privacy than Reflections offers? We're inclined toward the Pacific Resort on Aitutaki, but at a loss for Rarotonga accommodation. We're planning to visit in early September.

I'd suggest getting a bungalow instead of staying at a resort. Check out Shangri-La Beach Cottages, Rarotongan Sunset, Arorangi Bungalows, or Napa Beach Bungalows.

ALF's suggestion is a good one (as usual).

Considering the fact that you were looking at Reflections and that you'd posted an earlier post about the Bora Bora Eden Beach, I'm assuming you are also looking for an upscale establishment. You should keep in mind that there are not too many truly upscale places on Raro (most are middle range or low-end places) - though that is starting to change. As I mentioned somewhere in a previous post to another person, you might want to take a look at the Sokola Villas. They might suit you fine.

Many thanks for the suggestions!
p.s. to Ken -- I will post on our BB experience...it was the best of times, it was the worst of times -- LOVED it!

PS - You might also consider the beachfront units at the Palm Grove. Great location on a wonderful beach (we rented a house nearby). Won't promise there will be no children, but the likelyhood is pretty high that there will be few if any at all. Not as upscale as Sokola's though.

Ken

A quick review of the Palm Grove website indicated that the beachfront units do not allow kids under twelve. So there is a fair chance that staying there may be totally kid free (Beachfront that is).

When we were there there were no kids at all.
