One thing worth knowing, as it seemed unusual, is you tap on and off for Sydney trams outside the tram. So tap Opal Card on the machine attached to a pole (or credit / debit card? ) before getting on tram. Public transport in Sydney worked well.

That's not a bad deal, Simon & I think you'll enjoy Skye Suites.
Good thing with Australian accommodation (and other) costs is the price you see is the price you pay. We only have one tax (10% GST ( Goods & Services)) and it is included in the advertised price where applicable. No sneaky "extra taxes & fees" at the end. And you probably remember we're not a tipping culture either. You will see the Tip option on lots of restaurant card readers - they use US designed software, so feel free to ignore or choose "no tip".
I hope you have a wonderful time on your return visit. I worked for a Swedish company here in the late 70's & early 80's and was lucky enough to have a few trips to Sweden which I loved. That was largely due to the warmth of the hospitality I received not just from colleagues, but everyone I met. And of course, your stunningly beautiful countryside & fascinating cities.
