restaurant recommendation in Hobart

We will be in Hobart for my daughter's 14th birthday and she would like to go to a nice restaurant. She likes all kinds of food but thought Italian would be nice. I have three kids, youngest is 6 so it has to be somewhere that she can handle also. Thanks, Sandy

Sandy:
We spent a weekend in Hobart. There are many good restaurants located on the wharf near Salamanca market. I don't recall any Italian restaurants but I'm sure there are some. I do however remember a fast food seafood restaurant that your kids will love. That's if they go for seafood. It's right on the wharf. You can't miss it. Wish I could think of it's name.
John

I don't know about Italian but for an interesting restaurant for adults and kids you couldn't go past "The Drunken Pirate" at least I think that's its name. It is down on the wharf and it is a good idea to book because its very popular. Great decor and such fun. Food is nice too

It could be The Drunken Admiral - I just had that thought. Whatever - its over the road from the big hotel which used to be The Sheraton and is now something else.

Liz:
At least I can help with the hotel name. It's now The Grand Chancellor. Lovely place.
John

thanks for the help with the name of hotel - have stayed there so should have known it. When you said "lovely place" did you mean the hotel or the P....d Pirate/ Drunken Admiral?
