Reliable/Cheap Ticket Sources?
My wife & I have just decided to travel to Australia this XMas/New Years. I know it's last-minute & the height of the tourist season, but that can't be helped. Besides going through the airlines themselves, does anyone have any good Web sources for cheap tickets? Please only refer companies that you've used in the past & had a good experience with. No travel agents please. TIA! |
From US i got my tickets at staTravel, normally, it is students, but my wife, a teacher also qualified. Saved 25% over united and quantas

virginblue.com.au, flightcentre.com.au, lastminute.com.au,priceline.com. For accom try wotif.com.au or ratestogo.com.au. Good luck

You might try www.goway.com/
Phone:1-800-387-8850, ask for Erika. She got me tickets from Honolulu to Rarotonga on Aloha Air for less than half of what Aloha Air or Expedia were charging. Efficient, very pleasant. |
Oops....just checked Aloha Air's website and their fare was sliced in half tho I'm still ahead $124 having used Goway.

Tia,
I did a similar thing in 1998...on Dec 20th I decided I wanted to go from Chicago to Sydney and Melbourne for Christmas and New Years. I used flightconsolidators.com.au (actually, I called them) who operate out of Los Angeles. Whereas the airlines were charging around $5KUS for economy, I got a ticket for leaving a few days later (the 23rd) for about $1000US. Although those fares are long gone, my thoughts are Flightconsolidators were extremely good value and professional. |
Apologies..it appears they are no longer around!
