Reef Encounter

Hello to everyone,

Does someone have any knowledge about 1 and 2 night snorkelling trips from Cairns aboard a catamaran called "Reef Encounter"

Thanks,

AndrewDavid

I don't have first hand knowledge of it myself. A couple we met on Lizard Island said they left Cains and cruised around on 2 catamarans/boats before coming to Lizard. They said one was very basic and you cleaned your own plates, etc. and the other was a bit more upscale. I don't recall the names of the exact ships though.

I think I have said this before but do a search under Down Under Dive and check out the "Atlantic Clipper" Deal.

Given your penchant for sailing you might find this suitable.

D To Johhj_au,

Thanks for your suggestion about the Yankee Clipper. A search produced the site for www.divecairns.com.au
I e-mailed them to get info on what they offer on Yankee Clipper and other boats. Will report when I find out more details.

I thought the yankee clipper was Marilyn Monroe's first husband.

Stayed aboard the Endeavor - run by Captain Cooke Cruise - 4 nights in Oct. It was a really terrific experience. Snorkeled at Lizard; on the Continental Shelf; and at one other spot. Ambience was not luxury but very flavorful. Rooms were very good - I recommend top level and food was pretty good. Staff very friendly and the ship held about 100 people.
