Reasonable Place to Stay in Fiji
We are going to Fiji at the end of July or the first week in August. We want a reasonable place to stay. My husband is a scuba diver

Since there is no way to know what you mean by a reasonable place to stay, I suggest you explore the web site of the Fiji Tourist Bureau at If prices are quoted in Fiji Dollars they are worth about $0.52US.
If by "reasonable" you mean inexpensive, you may like Tubakula Beach Bungalows, a collection of simple bungalows with basic kitchens, on the Coral Coast...a beachfront bungalow is around US$32 a night. website at

For scuba diving in Fiji, you can't beat staying on the "garden island" of Taveuni. We just returned from a trip there and it was WONDERFUL! There are spectacular waterfalls (filmed in the movie "Blue Lagoon," beachwalks, etc.. as well as some of the best scuba in the world. Everyone we met was very nice and we immediately felt like part of the family. We were really strapped for funds, so we stayed with a Fijian family for part of the trip and camped on the beach for the rest of the time. If that is your style, the campsite was Beverly's Beach and it was one of the best experiences of my life! They provide the tents (with beds in them) and cooking facilities. (F$7 night) For great prices on bungalows, check out Bibi's Beach Resort. He had rates from F$40-60 per night. Hope this helps!
