Queenstown for a day

Hi - We're coming on down on a tour in early November. We have a "leisure" day in Queensland. Optional tours are offered to Milford Sound and to the World Heritage Fiordland National Park. Can anyone give me some information about both and/or other suggestions? Thanks very much.

OOOPS!!! I meant QUEENSTOWN, not Queensland. Sorry.

Both the places you mention are a long full day away from Queenstown by coach or car. If only one day there, I would suggest a trip on the lake to Walter Peak sheep station, which is a half day. Then a short drive to the lovely old gold mining town of Arrowtown with a detour to a winery or Coronet Peak skifield or Millbrook Golf Resort.

Thanks for your reply. Your suggestions sure sound better than a full day on a coach.

Take the gondala to the top of the peak at Queenstown for fabulous views over the town, lake and mountains.
