Queenstown

Hi All
I have one full day in Queenstown (N.Z.)in November and i'm looking for ideas/advice on what to do to make the most of my limited time there. I was thinking of a Dart River Safari in the morning, a heliflight to Milford in the afternoon and a cruise on the Earnslaw in the evening. Has anyone out there done these things? This is a huge adventure for me and I'm really excited about it.

Check out the Shotover Canyon Jet boat....

... one of the highlights of our last NZ trip.

Cheers,

Bill

My TA just booked me on shotover -- how " jerky " is the boatride? Is one likely to toss one's cookies?

One is not likely to toss ones cookies, however experience has taught me that a trip to the smallest room prior to alighting one of these contraptions is most beneficial. Unless you have pelvic floor muscles of steel. Especially necessary if you have partaken of a few cappuccinos before hand.

sistertaranaki-
IMHO that is too much for one day. I would skip the Dart River Safari and do the other two activities instead. If you have time in the evening, take the gondola to the top of Bob's Peak.
