qantas strike?

Can anyone tell me what is going on with the qantas engineers strike? All of the news that I have been finding seems to be from a couple of weeks ago. Is the strike still going on? How is it affecting travel? Thanks!

A good source of information is the Qantas forum on www.flyertalk.com.

Thanks so much. I just checked it out--they have a whole thread going on about it. Looks like there are still delays--I posted a reply to try to get more details!

whilst the action is still happening it's spasmodic an d affects areas and flights differently. I have just flown to Broome from melbourne direct and from Broome to melbourne via Perth and there were no problems

northie, thanks so much for your answer. I actually ended up calling Qantas, and they said that it is mainly the really "popular" flights that are being affected--because those are the ones that they can consolidate.

So apparently, flights BETWEEN the following cities are the most likely to be affected: Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
