priceline hotels

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has every tried priceline for Sydney hotels? Any success? Are there any other web-sites for hotels that you would recommend?

If you are prepared to wait till two weeks before requiring a room try

www.wotif.com.au

I'm with John on waiting for hotels - unless money is not at all an issue!

Also consider ratestogo.com.au and lastminute.com.au

I used Jasons.com to look for Aus-NZ accomodation. Pretty good.

They have a feature that takes you to needitnow.com.au for selected hotels, if you want to book something in the next 2 weeks. (Sounds like that wotif place...)

We used needitnow for hotels in the Gold Coat and Cairns area. It's a pre-pay by credit card, print-your-voucher arrangement and worked out great. No hassles or problems, and I though the accomodations were good value.
