Port Douglas Mid-November - weather?

Just looking for a comment from any Port Douglas experts. There is an excellent value offer currently being promoted for a week at the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas but it is only available from 1st November - we could go around 15th November. We visited Port Douglas for the first time earlier this year and would love to return but are wondering about the weather at that time. Is that officially the wet/cyclone season? I'd appreciate any feedback you can offer. Thanks, Greg

That falls within the cyclone time but they are unlikely that early and as the seas are rather cool at the moment it would be unlikely for there to be a cyclone that early. That is about as far as I can go for the weather but if you are interested in the climate then have a look at http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/averag...w_031052.shtml With the 3 pm average temperature at 29.4*C and a humidity of only 68% I think you should go for it.

Thanks Alan, I thought I could rely on you to respond!

We're just working through the deal at the moment and are highly likely to book it. The only thing holding us back is a feeling of guilt as will only have been back 4 weeks after 7 weeks in France. Then again that's what we retired for.

You're feeling guilt!? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. About time you grew up and took full advantage of what life is offering you.

Have a great time,
Alan

I'm sure you're right Alan, and I have to say that I have always overcome those feelings in the past. Overall there aren't too many opportunities that we pass up!
