Photography in NZ national parks

I was astonished by this article. Apparently, you can get into trouble with NZ's Dept. of Conservation for taking a photograph in national park, then publishing it and receiving "gain or reward".

So here are the rules for commerrcial filming or still photography

I wasn't surprised by rules regarding filming, or a major photo shoot, but one person with a camera?

Wow, I'm surprised too.

Good thing I never tried to publish the millions of photos I've taken while in New Zealand.

We ran across a small crew filming with a drone on the swing bridge at Blue Pools last year and I had to wonder if they had a permit to be there - they wouldn't let visitors cross the bridge during their shoot, disrupting the flow of traffic, but there was no way of knowing if they were there legally or not.
