OK, what did you bring back NZ?

I know it's a frivilous question, but I do want to know what you brought back from NZ- for yourself, for gifts, etc! We will be there right before the Christmas holidays, so I am sure we will pick up at least some stocking stuffers along the way, and porbably some wine. What great things did you find?

Various sheepskin items (mittens, seat covers, hats), a Maori walking stick, several pieces of Maori jade jewelry.

We didn't have much to spend on gifts, but we bought a Maori koru carving for my father-in-law, who kept our kids while we were there; greenstone earrings for our oldest dd; a sterling silver and paua necklace for our second dd; a book of magic tricks and another book about 747s (which contained a model to put together) for our 9yo son; and a pair of greenstone earrings for me.

I also bought my son a book about wetas, but I forgot to give it to him for his birthday, so it'll be a Christmas present.

We've visited NZ several times and we can't seem to leave without loading up on NZ calendars. We give them to friends and family and keep several for ourselves to remind us of NZ over the next year. They're inexpensive, have some gorgeous photographs of NZ and are easy to pack.

We also usually buy lanolin products, and I'm addicted to some of the Cadbury products made in NZ.

We always purchase a huge tub (or two) of Vegemite for an Aussie friend living away from OZ.

We've also been known to buy the occasional possem hat, and a pair of paua earrings here or there.

We love NZ wine and drink alot of it while there, but haven't yet taken any home with us. Maybe next time.

That's right! We bought some Hokey Pokey bars for the kids as well.

Thanks for mentioning the calendars - I need to order a couple!
