NY's in Sydney

Tell me that it's spectacular!! I've heard it is amazing...Our first time ever..we plan on a great time with friends and family.
We were fortunate to meet wonderful people from Sydney a few years back on a cruise. They were dancers and for some reason we all just blended and now we are family.
I'm so glad we'll be sharing a most special time with our "extended family" accross the seas and who has invited us to experience this special place on earth as we celebrate our 35th Anniversay with so many wonderful people.

Fireworks over the harbour are totally spectacular! You're going to love it.

I hope you enjoy your stay here and the fireworks live up to your expectations. It is a great experience ( one display at about 9pm and the biggie at midnight ). I hope your Aussie friends have organised a good spot for you to view from as most prime places can get VERY crowded. Let us know how it goes.

It is spectacular.

You will never enjoy fireworks anywhere else again like you did before though, so there is a downside.

It is as if Sydney was purpose built as a firework backdrop when you see it.

It is unparalled. We have also watched the July 4th fireworks in NYC which was great but Sydney's are magical.

Coming from sydney, seeing the harbour bridge lit up every year is great. I hope you enjoy it. Also so that you know the fireworks at midnight are going off 10 seconds after midnight.

You have to get a good spot early... or if you have the money, rent a boat and go out in the middle of the harbour and watch!
