Help! I learned once of a place where the rooms are on the water, with clear flooring to see the ocean underneath. I'm thinking possibly Bali? or elsewhere in Indonesia. Can anyone suggest? thanks!

There are over water bures/bungalows in Fiji,New Caledonia, Vanuatu - not sure about Bali. You might do better on www.balitravelforum.com for Bali info as there doesn't appear to be all that much Bali related chat on the Asia board here.

Are you thinking of Bora Bora, near Tahiti? Over-water bungalows are a popular item with high end resorts there.

They have these in Moorea (Tahiti) as well.
