Noosa or Byron Bay

Planning a trip in late Jan or early Feb, and just trying to decide whether to go to Noosa or Bryron Bay (or both). We love Noosa but its been about 6 years since last there. Never been to Byron Bay and not sure what to expect, how do they compare to each other. Would love to hear from anyone who's been to either or both. Looking at a 7 day holiday. Thanks.

Byron is a bit more casual than Noosa - it really has a diverse range of people both visiting and living there. I personally like Bryon better as it is far more approachable and diverse.

Byron Bay wins hands down - unless of course you come from Melbourne, have lots of friends there who will be in Noosa at the same time, have lot of jewellery that you wish to wear while you "waddle" up and down the main street and bump into said friends to throw you bejewelled hands into their faces so they "know" how rich you are.

Hi, jo123,
Would definitely choose Byron Bay myself - an attractive, casual place, where you can just laze around, or use as a base for exploring further.

Oops, sent too quickly. We found there were plenty of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes, plus interesting little shops to explore - and we were only there for a day!

Thanks for your help guys. Think we'll go to Byron. Sounds like a nice place.
