Nelson sights
good grief! I've only about 3 hr in the city of Nelson as I make my way from Motueka to Blenheim via Queen Charlotte Drive and SH1.
I've screened the city sights and shall visit: a) South Street b) Church Hill c) Nelson Market (it's a Saturday) d) Trafalgar Sq and around Do you agree with my choices here? I'm skipping The Centre of NZ in Botanic Reserves, while it sounds interesting, it takes too much time to climb up and down. Do you think I can squeeze in a walk along the Boulder Bank? |
Chenoa -
At the risk of making your decision even harder, have you considered visiting the Wearable Arts Complex? A great way to spend a few hours viewing some pretty wild exhibits. |
Hahaha! I've heard about it....but I don't have time for that, do I? :)

Chenoa,
Nelson is a very compact city so you will not have to spend long getting from one place to another. There are many good things to see. The wearable arts museum would imho rank above a couple of your other choices such as wandering around South Street. For instance there is a very good glass blowing/art gallery not far from town. Link below http://www.nelson.hoglund.co.nz/about.lasso Fascinating place. Failing all else you could spend a nice three hours there having a very relaxed lunch on the waterfront. For instance at the Boatshed http://www.nelsonwaterfront.co.nz/boatshed/index.html. Whatever you choose have fun. Steve |
(oops: see my reply to this ? under your earlier rabbit island post, and be advised: NOT DOGS ALLOWED on Rabbit island.

Hi Kiwi_acct (Steve),
I've already allowed time (outside the 3hr) for the Hoglund Glass studio. :) The Boat Shed may be a good place for me to have lunch. Thanks. |
