Need help planning hotel in Moorea/Bora Bora/Huahine PLEASE!
I am planning a family vacation (myself, husband an 10 year old daughter). We want beautiful beach, nice water. I am concerned because some of the properities I look at, the water doesn't look that nice. I realize maybe that makes for the great snorkeling that I like but I want that beautiful sight of the turquoise water. I have found a package deal that uses the Sofitel in Bora-Bora, Moorea and Huaine, The price is right but I really need to know about the hotels and the beaches and water at these hotels. Thanks April

Have stayed at the Sofitel on Moorea. I think you would be pleased with the beach and water there. You look across the sea to the island of Tahiti. Quite lovely. The grounds are nice - lush with flowers. Go out into the water and look back at the island itself. An impressive sight. Enjoy!!

Hi April, <BR>We stayed at the Sofitel in Bora Bora @4 years ago. We stayed in an over water bungalow and loved it. We enjoyed the snorkeling and the property, the hotel will take you by boat over to a small island (motu) where you can explore and snorkel also. Go on the shark feeding and sting ray excursion, it was thrilling. Enjoy, Tina

The Sofitel on Huahine is fine although in need up an update. The Te Tiare is a superior resort if you can make the change.

My husband & I stayed at Le Meridien Bora Bora and had a great time. My husband is not a strong swimmer so it was important that he had some calm waters in which to practice snorkling. LMBB has a sand bottom pool that brings in water from the lagoon. It's clean and plenty of interesting sealife to play with. I think it would be a great spot for your daughter. Also, we had an overwater bungalow. our evening entertainment after dinner was turning off all the lights and watching the fish migrate to our bungalow.
