Need accomodations for our first night in Tahiti

Can anyone recommend a place to stay near the airport in Tahiti? We are flying out the next morning to Moorea so we need something close by. Merci

We stayed at the Sheraton in Tahiti on the last day of our vacation. We were on a cruise for 10 days and the cruise company chose the Sheraton. It was clean, close to the airport, nice pool. Nothing extravagant, but it served its purpose.

We stayed at the Tahiti Beachcomber Parkroyal (now known as the Tahiti Beachcomber Intercontinental) & loved it. I have a review posted at the following URL:

http://www.epinions.com/lodg-review-52D5-149E823C-3A314D65-prod4

I also have some photos at Webshots.com at this URL:

http://community.webshots.com/user/lordbalfor

It's very close to the airport and very nice (though not cheap).

Ken

Doesn't answer your question but...

Moorea is only three miles from Tahiti. There are a plethora of ferries and boats that could get you there. There is no reason to wait for a flight. If you are staying on Moorea and are about to 'lose' a day on your resort, try getting to Moorea by boat.
