Hi--
I've been toying w/the idea of teaching abroad for a year and have a cat, so I've looked into this. Australia has a one year quarantine period for pets :-(

Debbie

Actually, I have contacted the Australian authorities - for pets you have to have them tested for rabies at up to 150 days prior to departure and then they have to be in quarantine for 30 days as the 150 days decrease for the test the quarantine days increase. They also have to have a microchip in place before the test.
I was actually trying to find out if anyone had any recommendations as to the actual transportation eg companies to use, sedation etc.
Liz, why no suggestions anymore???
