Mosquitos at Malolo (amending an earlier post)

I posted previously asking about mosquitos in Fiji. I should have been more specific---I will be at Malolo Island Resort in May. Anyone who has been there, can you tell me if there are alot of mosquitos?

Stayed there for a week in August and didn't see one mosquito, in face didn't see any bugs. Great place. Loved it.

I used to live in Hawaii for serveral years and was eaten alive by any mosquito around. Then I learned about vitamin B-1 (Thiamin). I start taking 200 mg a day about a month in advance of any tropical travel. I'm rarely bothered now. Good luck

Lived in the islands for two years, I get welts the size of a half dollar if bitten. I rarely was, anywhere in Fiji. During the day. Mosquitos are generaly fairly rare during the day because they are a different species of mosquito. The time to worry is basically at night. You may need to have netting around the bed depending on the setup up, but that's all you have to remember. Mosquitos will not be a real problem.
