Melbourne or Sydney- which one to see?
 
I am allowed one stop-over on my way from NYC to New Zealand. I hear so many good things about Melbourne, but would also love to see Sydney and the Blue Mountains!
Any opinions? (I only have 4 days in the city I choose). Thanks!

Melbourne is a great city but you need time to get to know it. Sydney though is a must see - the visual impact of the harbour is second to none and it's a vibrant city.

Thanks to all of you!! Sydney it is!! I am confirming my flights from NYC right now. Had to change date of trip to early November, but that's ok! Can't wait!! :)
