Luggage Storage Adelaide Airport
 

We will need to find secure storage for the excess luggage we will be carrying prior to our flight to Kangagroo Island for 3 nights. Anyone have any idea the location of the storage facilities and the costs involved.

There are three (3) alternate locker sizes available for customer and passenger use. Lockers are located adjacent the rent-a-car offices in the terminal car park. Costs are as follow:

Small (44 x 42 x 89cm)
0 to 2 hours $2.00
2 to 4 hours $2.00
4 to 24 hours $2.00
Medium (44 x 57 x 89cm)
0 to 4 hours $6.00
4 to 8 hours $2.00
8 to 24 hours $2.00
Large (44 x 86 x 89cm)
0 to 4 hours $8.00
4 to 8 hours $2.00
8 to 24 hours $2.00

Pay on your return. For every 24 hours after initial rental

Small $6.00
Medium $10.00
Large $12.00

If you exceed your anticipated time you will be required to pay the balance on return."



The 0-4 hour pricing seems a little
strange - pay more for less time.

Speckles do you have any idea what the distance is between the storage area and the arrivals/departure areas? I have some mobility issues and will need to address. We depart to Sydney upon arrival from Kangaroo Island.

The storage area is a 3 minute walk from the arrivals hall. All ground level. Everything in the Adelaide terminal is close and easily accessed.

I suspect (but haven't checked) that the Kangaroo Island flights may depart/arrive from a different terminal ie the old Domestic terminal or somewhere else on the site. What airline is it? Rex?

The airport in general is not very big. I've only been once since the new terminal was built a few years back. Prior to that the international terminal wasn't much more than a large tin building.

Will you be on your own? If not, can your travel partner retrieve the bags while you wait in the terminal building? They should be able to grab a trolley and it won't be much of a walk for someone able-bodied.

I've just checked and Rex do use Terminal 1 (the new terminal). I believe in the past, they used to leave from elsewhere on the airport site.

Air South uses the general aviation terminal. I think that's the only other carrier to KI besides Rex.

Thanks, for the info. We have lots of time coming and going to KI so we should have time to sort out the locker/storage issues.
