Looking for Tour Guides in Polynesia

Dear bride of 35 years and I are embarking on a Polynesian cruise. It's always been our mantra to support locals where we can. To that end, does anyone have recommendations for local tour guides in Tahiti, Huahine, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Moorea? Dear bride does not like putting her face in the water so snorkelling tours are out. Nor does she relish 4 X 4 tours as being bad for her back. Any suggestions other than stay aboard ship?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I can't help, but I love your screen name. :-)

You may want to contact the locally based Marama Tours for assistance with tours/excursions. www.maramatours.com

I also cannot help but ElendilPickle took the words right out of my mouth! I went to Moorea and the staff at the hotel (Pearl) hooked me up with a tour. I would check with some hotels to see what they may offer.

Thanks for the lead and for your appreciation of my handle. I got tagged with that by a One-Door-Ful student volunteer helper when I was a high school teacher-librarian. The connecting visual, if you can imagine, is Hagar the Horrible.

Happy sails!
