Lockers at SYD?
 

We're spending a couple of weeks in the south during May and then plan to go to the warm north. Can we leave some excess weight, i.e. jackets, at Sydney airport for 3 weeks? I know there are lockers there.

You can certainly use the lockers at Sydney airport - but they are quite expensive. I'm not sure how the charges work over alonger period of time - but it cost me over $A10 for one day last year.

You might like to encourage Alan to answer this because there are also lockers at Central Station in Sydney which I think are a lot cheaper - Alan would know. If you are staying in Sydney perhaps the hotel may help you out too - maybe!

Who's Alan? How do I ask him? I'm new at this! Is there a way of communicating with someone who's answered directly? One person asked me to let him know how my trip goes, but I don't know how to get back to him! Thanks!

You do not have to do anything really - Alan is our resident 'Sydney guru' and has excellent knowledge - he checks this Board regularly and I am sure will post a reply when he does.<BR>When someone asks you to let them know how your trip went etc,. they usually mean for you to post a trip report when you return so they can see how it all went for you. It is always interesting when people do this - and is a good way of sharing up to date information.<BR>

Not that im an expert but are you sure the lockers are still ther. We had planned to leave some excess luggage at the Brisbane airport and qantas told us she didnt think that as a result of recent security they still exsisted. I called Brisbane airport info and they advised me that all airport lockers and storage facilities had been sealed or removed at that airport as a result of security concerns, and only off-site facilities were available :(

There are certainly lockers still at Central Railway in Sydney - but I have no idea as to the charges.

Alan's computer has been on the blink but its back now so as soon as he gets the time I would say he will be on this board to answer your question.
