limited mobility & NZ

My mother, who is in her 70s and has difficulty walking (but is not in a wheelchair), has expressed a desire to visit New Zealand. In general, how much can someone who can only walk short distances enjoy New Zealand? I would go with her, and am able to help her out.

Hi Crys,

In my experience, a package tour with a reputable tour operator is the way to go with seniors. Yes, this is the 50 passenger motorcoach you see driving by,and it's the best way to go for seniors as the "hassle" is taken care of and they are still able to see and do alot of NZ. They are able to relax (and nap) on the bus between point A and B and save their resources for the limited walks on the intinerary.
