LAX- Getting from American to QANTAS
 

When we arrive on American at LAX how do we get to the QANTAS International Terminal? Can we walk or do we have to take a shuttle bus? I looked on the map of the terminal and it is very confusing. Will we have to go through customs again when we get inside the International Terminal?

If you are flying to Sydney on QANTAS, you do not go to the international terminal, it is at the American domestic desk. All other Australian flights leave from the international terminal though.

We are flying Miami to LAX to Brisbane.

You can definitely walk between the terminals. There is a shuttle, but the flight attendants said 95% of the time, it's faster to walk.
I believe you won't have to go through customs again until you arrive in Brisbane, but I am not 100% sure.

You will have to go through security again though, did you mean "security" instead of "customs"?

Yes, I did mean security. I am assuming our bags will be taken from American to QANTAS without us handling them again....I hope!
Do the security lines usually move along fairly fast after 9 pm?

Yes, your bags will be checked through. I don't know about the security line, but if you are feeling pressed for time, just notify a security agent.
