Katafanga Opening??
 

Does anyone know if this new resort is open yet and if so, when.

Why not just call them?

I believe they are taking reservations for a January opening. We are interested also & hope to hear some feedback the first of the year before booking. If you hear anything, please post it.

Hi Peggy,<BR><BR>Just received an email from the resort and they are now accepting reservations for anytime after May 2003 with some special introductory offers. Sounds like a fantastic place. You can email them at : [email protected] They will let you know how things are progressing with the site, special offers, etc. I look forward to a stay there hopefully sometime next year.

Thanks dede. We usually go in May....though I am a little leery of going without any other input from someone who has been but it is being promoted as the next most exclusive resort in Fiji so had bad can it be! We have been to Turtle Island &amp; Namale &amp; Vatulele (my favorite so far) &amp; have been looking for another destination in Fiji. Thanks for the info! I will e-mail them &amp; see what happens.

For Peggy,<BR><BR>Hi again. You mentioned the number of places in Fiji you have been but did not mention the Yasawa Resort. We were there a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. A small island resort with comfortable accomodations, excellent food and very friendly service. Was just a 25 minute plane ride from Nadi were we landed on a grass airstrip. This new resort sounds like it is in a class of its own however and offers the ultimate in ammenities and service etc. If you decide to go in May, maybe you could write a report here as I would be curious to know how you liked it. We would probably go a little later in the year. Would also like to know what the other islands resorts you mentioned were like and why you preferred Vatulele over the others. Many Thanks. dede

Thanks, I did also try to email at [email protected] &amp; didn't receive a reply. I'll try their website.<BR>dede, I will let you know if we decide to go. I'm a bit concerned about the lack of response though. We are also considering returning to Samoa instead but I just haven't had anything really grab me yet. We haven't been to Yasawa but feel it is alot like Vatulele (which is a good thing!) &amp; want something different or new. Vatulele was more private &amp; the food, service &amp; the water/beach conditions I feel were the best of the 3 resorts in Fiji we have been to so far.

Bula all, I stumbled across this site and was surprised to see Katafanga Island Resort &amp; Spa! We are close to finishing construction - it's turning out so much better than we envisioned - the drawings don't do it justice! We will be open in June &amp; look forward to welcoming you on Katafanga! S Miller

Glad to hear that Katafanga Resort is progressing well as it is one place that I hope to visit in the near future. Any idea when there will be completion pictures of the resort, accomodations, etc. posted on your website?
