Karijini Summer

Has anyone been up to Karijini in summer? Trying to figure out if the heat is bearable or if it's best saved for the cooler months.

Hi harviewilliams - welcome to Fodors!

I've noticed your various post about WA.

I lived there for seven years, but never made it to Karijini. I hated the WA summer, which began in November and ran through March. For us the worst months were Dec-Feb. Not only the heat, but the flies!

WA doesn't get much action here on Fodor's, so I suggest you post on Trip Advisor, as it has a much more active WA community.

Good luck with your plans!

I haven't been there but checked the location on a map and personally, would avoid in summer. It's not just the heat but also the time of year when floods can occur and roads cut.
